Ace Pro Accessories

I have been using my ace pro for a while now. I wanted to make a quick guide to help out people thinking about getting into vlogging or for those switching brands if you're like me. Firstly, I really recommend buying the specific insta360 branded accessories as they’re generally better built and designed especially for insta360 products. Now, let’s get into it.

Insta360 Multi Mount

Insta360 Multi Mount

The 1st must have is the Insta360 Multi Mount

This thing is a game changer as you can hold it like a normal selfie stick, use it as a tabletop tripod or hang it with its specially designed legs. I use it regularly when filming my nature and wildlife excursions. Often hanging it on branches or standing it up on whatever surface I find myself working around.

Insta360 Mic Air

Insta360 Mic Air

The 2nd must have is the Insta360 Mic Air

Now a quick disclaimer, not all older insta360 cameras work with the Mic Air, so do your due diligence before buying. I unfortunately found out when I first bought it, that it didn’t work with my first-generation ace pro. However, the company did promise firmware updates for older models, so hopefully they keep their word. There are other mic options out there, but the size factor and pricing of the wireless Mic Air keep it pretty competitive.

Insta360 Magnetic Quick Release

Insta360 Magnetic Quick Release

The 3rd must have is the Insta360 Magnetic Quick Release 2.0

I absolutely love this adapter! The first thing I want to point out, is that this is not only magnetic (very strong) but also features a lock feature at the base. Hence providing you with more peace of mind due to knowing you have better stability and security. A couple more stand out features are the folding fingers on the base allowing for multiple connection options. It also provides a female 1/4’’ screw connection should you have special ball head or another tripod that features a male 1/4’’ screw adapter. This is a quality-built product!

Insta360 Cold Shoe Bracket

Insta360 Cold Shoe Bracket

Now 4th we have the Insta360 Cold Shoe Bracket

This little lovely bracket provides users with the option to attach a mic or a receiver if one is using a wireless receiver and transmitter. It’s important not to get this mixed up with the insta360 Vertical/Horizontal bracket which allows users to quickly change from horizontal to vertical shooting using its quick release function!

Insta360 Microphone Adaptor

Insta360 Microphone Adaptor

Finally, the 5th must have would be the Insta360 Microphone Adaptor

This adaptor requires users remove the door on the side where the memory card is located. Once the little door is removed you can connect the microphone adaptor into place via usb-c connector. This adaptor allows the connection of 3.5mm cables from your chosen audio device to camera directly. It also provides a usb-c port so you can charge your device however you choose. Just don’t expect a rapid charge function.

Other recommended optional Insta360 accessories:

  • Spare battery/batteries (depends on your usage and charging habits)

  • Extra Insta360 usb cover(s) (these tiny things can easily get misplaced)

  • Insta360 Horizonal/Vertical Quick Release Bracket

  • Variety of Filters (From CPL, ND to Close-Up Filters…so many options now!)
